MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT

ICR - MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENTS

ICR develops both laboratory and prototype industrial measurement equipments in harsh environment. Physical parameters are recorded to characterize the material behaviour during long term load experiments as well as process-specific signals during industrial wear testing. The photograph shows an electronic setup for the automated online measurement of volatile fatty acid contents in biogas. It is used for just-in-time characterization of the anaerobic process in the digester. The explosion-proof equipment operates safely in the digesters environement. The other appliances include:

Equipments for creep & fatigue measurements
  • Long term transient creep tests on polymer yarns and fibres in the T range -15°C ... +55°C
  • Wear tests on textile resistivity sensors
  • Mechanical cycling of E-Textile constructions with low-resistance measurements of contacts
Equipments for accelerated ageing tests on photovoltaic modules
  • Thermo-mechanical fatigue testing for long term drift extrapolation
  • High-voltage insulation measurement
Equipments for non-destructive measurements
  • Light scattering in yarns, in weavings, and in braided structures
  • Speckle patterns in weavings
